Abstraction has held my interest for many years. The paintings seem to work as a sort of magic. Something happens, where the painting takes over and becomes its own entity, evoking emotion, place and a sense of itself. I love color, its ever expanding activity, visual effects and expressive power. With painting, I re-create that which I experience and see of my environment, continually reminding me, there is more to everything.
